What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is sometimes called claspless jewelry, infinity jewelry, or welded jewelry because the chain is soldered together creating a permanent loop.
How should I care for my jewelry?
Gold filled jewelry should be cared for in the same way 14k gold jewelry is cared for. Avoid harsh chemicals and heavy soaps or lotions directly on the chain. Every so often wipe the chain with a jewelry cleaning wipe or vinegar mixture to keep it shiny. Dry thoroughly. To care for sterling silver, avoid harsh chemicals and heavy lotions or soaps directly on the chain. Every so often wipe the chain with a silver polishing cloth or a mixture of baking soda and water to keep it shiny. Dry thoroughly.
Will it hurt?
Not at all! We use a leather strip between your skin and the chain, so no spark ever gets close. Even without the leather strip the risk is minimal.
Where can I put permanent jewelry?
Yes, we require a $20 deposit at the time of booking. This deposit will be deducted from your total payment price. You have the flexibility to reschedule your appointment and transfer your deposit up until 24 hours before your scheduled time. If you do not reschedule within this timeframe, your deposit will become non-refundable. Additionally, if you fail to show up for your appointment without any prior notice, your deposit will also be non-refundable.
How long does the process take?
Appointments are booked in 15-minute slots. Please note that 3 or more bracelets will require additional appointments.
What is gold-filled?
Gold filled jewelry is a type of jewelry that consists of a thick layer of gold that is mechanically bonded to a base metal, such as brass or copper. The layer of gold must be at least 5% of the total weight of the item, making it more durable and valuable than gold plated jewelry.
Can the chain be removed?
Yes. The delicate chain can be snipped with scissors if it needs to be removed. Though the chains are durable, they are thin enough to break in an emergancy.
Can my child get permanent jewelry?
Sure! We ask parents use their best judgment on whether or not their child will sit still for the process but children love the experience as much as adults! And it is perfectly safe and harmless.
What if the chain comes off unintentionally?
Don’t worry! If your chain breaks or needs to be removed for surgery within the first 48 hours, we will reweld it at no cost. After 48 hours, we reweld for $20. In addition, if you purchase a chain and decide later that you would like to add a charm, we can add it for you for the reweld fee of $20. (Purchases are only covered with receipt.)
